So, what’s it like to drive in Costa Rica? Do I need a 4×4 to get to Villa Serenidad? Do any of the roads hang off the edge of a cliff like some other properties?
The simple answer is Villa Serenidad is very easy to get to and does NOT require a 4×4 vehicle. The roads are mostly flat and usually well maintained.  In fact, we shot this video to give you an idea of what it’s like. This trip takes you from the Remax office where you would meet our property manager Andrew to Villa Serenidad.  It’s about a 6 to 7 minute drive. This video was shot on a Saturday afternoon which is by far the busiest day of the week for traffic. Most days, you won’t see anywhere near this amount of traffic. In fact, Atenas only has one stop light.
