If you want a true Costa Rica experience, I highly recommend renting in Atenas. It was a short 35 minute drive from SJO airport and it is a town filled with locals, not tourist. My kids and I just spent 10 days traveling and had an amazing trip. This house was perfect for the seven of us. The house is very spacious, clean, has all the basic amenities and the view was beautiful. It was a perfect spot for taking day trips throughout Costa Rica. We visited Monteverde, Jaco beach, Manuel Antonio National Park, La Paz waterfalls and more. This was the perfect location for wanting to see the rainforest, cloud forest and the beaches. The owner Jeff, was very quick to respond to any question and his staff that he works with were very helpful. Using WhatsApp and Google translate is all you need to communicate. I highly recommend using google maps as well. We had no problems getting from place to place with this. Overall experience with this house, excellent! Thanks Jeff, Eunice and Ronnie for everything!
