“This house is in a perfect location being about a half hour from the airport and the views are magnificent. Even before the trip, Jeff would respond to any questions I had quickly and with very thoughtful and informative responses. The house is very spacious especially the kitchen which has everything you need. We enjoyed meals and playing games at both the large indoor and outdoor tables. With the solar heated pool and this big and beautiful house, we felt like we were at a resort. I strongly recommend taking a hike from the house down to the river gorge. Plenty to explore there and we even had a horse cross the water to come visit us. The house is centrally located so you can make day trips to do different activities within a half hour to 3 hours drive. We actually did an overnight trip to Arenal Volcano followed by the hot springs at Baldi Hot Springs and zip lining with Sky Trek- all 3 incredible experiences. Back at the house, the only thing that took some adjusting to was with the amount of hot water available to take showers with our group of 6 people. The tank of water is solar heated and with our large group, we had to take very quick showers mostly in the evenings and not all at the same time. Even with this small inconvenience, I would rent this house again if we ever went back. And the best dinner you will have in Atenas, Costa Rica is at La Trocha del Boyero. The owner and chef went out of his way to make dinner a wonderful experience along with his delicious foods so I will write a review on trip advisor. I highly recommend anyone wanting to stay in Atenas to rent this house and Jeff and his property manager, Andrew, will make sure you will have all of the information you need prior to and during your trip.”
